Monica Livingston

LEAD INSTRUCTOR

B.S.Ed, E-RYT 500, LMT, LE, Usui Reiki Master, Certified Pilates Instructor (FITOUR)

Monica is the Founder and Lead Teacher of Attuned Wisdom School of Yoga.

With over 770 hours of advanced yoga education and a professional background in kinesiology, massage therapy, esthetics, Reiki, and Vedic Thai bodywork, she brings a unique blend of science, intuition, and lived experience to her teaching. Her approach to yoga is rooted in the belief that the practice is about far more than mastering poses. She views yoga as a pathway to self-awareness, resilience, healing, and authentic connection. Drawing from years of working directly with the body through therapeutic touch and movement education, Monica helps students understand not only how the body moves, but how it adapts, compensates, communicates, and heals.

Monica teaches from a perspective that integrates functional movement, nervous system awareness, and energetic principles. Her classes and trainings encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and self-inquiry, empowering students to move beyond memorization and develop a deeper understanding of both the practice and themselves.

Monica's teaching is influenced by trauma-informed principles and her commitment to creating spaces that feel safe, inclusive, and supportive. She believes that great yoga teachers are not defined by the complexity of their poses, but by their ability to connect, adapt, and meet students where they are.

Through Attuned Wisdom School of Yoga, Monica is passionate about helping future teachers discover their own voice, trust their intuition, and develop the confidence to teach with both skill and authenticity. Her mission is to honor the roots of yoga while preparing teachers to serve the diverse needs of modern students with compassion, knowledge, and integrity.
